Trading Operations Manager

**Reports to:** Head of Trading

**Experience Required:** 5+ years within FX/CFD brokerage operations with at least 2 years in a management role

The Trading Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Trading Operations team and the operational infrastructure.

This role oversees trading platforms, liquidity operations, client trading support, reconciliations, reporting and operational projects.

The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between Risk, Operations, Sales to ensure efficient and scalable operations.

This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of FX/CFD brokerage operations and the ability to drive continuous improvement across processes, systems and controls.

· Lead and manage the Trading Operations team, including performance management, training, and development.

· Oversee daily operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient processing across all functions.

· Establish and maintain operational procedures, controls and service standards.

· Ensure operational incidents are identified, escalated and resolved within agreed SLAs.

· Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies through automation and system enhancements.

· Manage operational risk and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

· Oversee the administration and operation of trading platforms, including MT5 and associated systems.

· Ensure the accurate setup and maintenance of trading instruments, trading conditions, swaps, dividends, holiday schedules and corporate actions.

· Monitor platform performance, execution quality and system stability.

· Coordinate with technology teams and vendors on platform upgrades, maintenance and enhancements.

· Oversee the onboarding and operational readiness of new trading products and platform features.

· Oversee liquidity configurations, symbol mappings, execution settings and routing logic.

· Monitor execution quality, slippage, rejection rates, fill ratios and latency metrics.

· Investigate trading anomalies and client execution-related queries.

· Collaborate with the Operations and Risk teams to optimize execution quality and trading performance.

· Produce and review daily, weekly and monthly operational and trading reports.

· Analyse trading activity, execution quality, client behaviour, operational performance and revenue metrics.

· Monitor key performance indicators across the Trading Operations function.

· Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.

· Ensure reporting accuracy and consistency across all systems and stakeholders.

· Partner with the Risk team on exposure monitoring, hedging activity and trading investigations.

· Collaborate with Operations on operational governance.

· Support Product and Technology teams with system implementations and operational projects.

· Lead operational transformation initiatives and process improvement projects.

· Evaluate and implement new technologies, systems and vendors.

· Support CRM, payment gateway and platform integration projects.

· Develop and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, policies and governance frameworks.

· Identify opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency and client experience.

· Minimum 5 years of experience within FX/CFD brokerage operations.

· Minimum 2 years in a leadership or management position.

· Proven experience managing trading operations, client funding operations, or brokerage infrastructure.

· Strong understanding of MT5, liquidity providers, bridges, and trading technology ecosystems.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams including Trading, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology.

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, IT or a related field preferred.

· Strong understanding of FX/CFD brokerage operations and trading infrastructure.

· Excellent leadership and people management skills.

· Strong knowledge of MT5, liquidity management, trade lifecycle and execution processes.

· Experience managing operational risk, controls and governance frameworks.

· Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced trading environment.

· Commercial awareness with a focus on operational efficiency and client experience.

· Experience managing global or multi-jurisdiction brokerage operations.

· Familiarity with CRM systems, payment gateways, API integrations, and brokerage automation tools.

· Professional qualifications in financial markets, operations management, or project management are advantageous.
