Trade Support Specialist (Bulk)

Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the end-to-end execution of physical commodity trades from deal conclusion through cargo completion
• Liaise directly with traders, suppliers, buyers, shipowners, brokers, agents, surveyors, and terminals to ensure smooth operational execution
• Coordinate vessel nominations, shipment schedules, laycans, cargo planning, and freight-related matters to support timely delivery of cargoes
• Monitor cargo movements, operational exposure, and shipment timelines while proactively resolving operational bottlenecks and discrepancies
• Work closely with traders to optimize cargo flows, logistics planning, and operational efficiency across different trade routes and counterparties
• Review and manage trade-related documentation including contracts, bills of lading, LOIs, invoices, certificates, and shipping instructions
• Support commercial discussions by monitoring market movements, freight developments, and cargo flow updates relevant to ongoing trades

Requirements

• Experience within commodities trading, dry bulk shipping, commercial operations, or trade execution-related functions
• Exposure to physical cargo execution, vessel operations, freight coordination, or supply chain management would be advantageous
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different regions and cultures
• Commercially aware, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a high-intensity trading environment
• Energetic and adaptable personality with willingness to travel and work closely with international counterparties
