What you will do

• Provide technical support for hardware and software configuration management.
• Investigate radar issues, write SARs, and maintain the Linux-based SDPE.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot radar system issues and lead resolution efforts under the CLS Site Manager.
• Review ALCS data for completeness, accuracy, and Failure Review Board evaluation compliance.
• Maintain radar system health and operational status.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret calibration data using radar systems and MATLAB tools.
• Execute software installations, system updates, and engineering modifications.
• Document integration and testing procedures, results, and issues.
• Communicate with customers, end users, and Field Service Representatives.
• Provide weekly engineering status reports, assist with software installations, execute data archival, and meet QA and ALCS reporting requirements.

Qualifications required

• Proficiency in Linux or another UNIX-based operating system, such as Solaris or HP-UX.
• Active Secret Security Clearance is required before starting and must be active on day one; the posting states U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Proven experience working in on-site integration and test teams.
• Hands-on experience operating radar systems to collect calibration data and troubleshoot radar anomalies.
• Knowledge of radar theory, X-band hardware/software concepts, RF systems, and hardware schematics.
• Experience maintaining and assessing faulted equipment and implementing corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Related bachelor's degree; the description's 8–12 years experience statement is cut off and incomplete.

Preferred qualifications

• MATLAB proficiency is preferred.
• At least five years troubleshooting and conducting operational checks of AN/TPY-2 systems is preferred.
• A problem-solver willing to support work across hardware, power, and site-specific needs is preferred.
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills are preferred.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive requirements is preferred.
• Experience planning, producing, and managing complex systems is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is preferred.
• Logistics background is highly desirable.
