Position overview

What you will do

• Support hardware and software configuration management; investigate radar issues, write SARs, and maintain the Linux-based SDPE.
• Diagnose radar issues and lead resolution under the CLS Site Manager; maintain radar health and operational status.
• Review ALCS data for completeness, accuracy, and Failure Review Board evaluation requirements.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret calibration data using radar systems and Matlab tools.
• Install software and updates, implement engineering modifications, and document integration and test procedures, results, and issues.
• Communicate with customers, end users, and Field Service Representatives.

Required qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required before starting and on day one; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required.
• Proficiency in Linux or another UNIX-based operating system required.
• Experience in on-site integration and test teams and hands-on radar operation, calibration data collection, and anomaly troubleshooting required.
• Knowledge of radar theory, X-band hardware/software, RF systems, and hardware schematics required.
• Experience maintaining and assessing faulted equipment and implementing corrective actions required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with network equipment configuration are listed as qualifications.

Preferred qualifications

• Matlab proficiency for data analysis is preferred.
• At least five years troubleshooting and conducting operational checks of AN/TPY-2 systems is preferred.
• Problem-solving across hardware, power, and site needs, strong technical communication, independent work, and complex-systems experience are preferred.
• Logistics background is highly desirable.

Location and assignment

• The position is described as onsite and as based in the UAE for a long-term accompanied international assignment.
