What you will do
- Support hardware and software configuration management; investigate radar issues, write SARs and maintain Linux-based SDPE.
- Diagnose radar anomalies and lead resolution efforts under the CLS Site Manager; maintain radar health and operational status.
- Review ALCS program data for accuracy and Failure Review Board compliance.
- Collect and analyze calibration data with radar systems and MATLAB; execute software installations, updates and engineering modifications.
- Document integration and testing; communicate with customers, end users and Field Service Representatives.
Required qualifications
- Active Secret clearance is required before start and on day one; the source states U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- CompTIA Security+ certification and proficiency in Linux or a UNIX-based operating system are required.
- On-site integration and test experience; hands-on radar operation, calibration-data collection and anomaly troubleshooting are required.
- Knowledge of radar theory, X-band hardware/software, RF systems and hardware schematics; experience correcting faulted equipment.
- Microsoft Office proficiency is required. A related bachelor's degree is required; the source's following experience text is cut off after “8-12 yea”.
Preferred qualifications
- MATLAB proficiency is preferred.
- Five or more years troubleshooting and conducting operational checks of AN/TPY-2 systems is preferred.
- Network equipment setup, complex-systems planning or management, logistics background, technical communication and independent work are listed as preferred.
