  • Remote
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Overview: Kreative Technologies is looking for a Test Technician to run software tests and report results for our client applications. You will follow test scripts, log defects clearly and help make sure releases work as expected.
  • The ideal candidate is careful, patient and detail-oriented. You should be comfortable repeating test steps precisely and describing problems so developers can fix them.
  • Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Executes manual test cases and test scripts according to test plans.
  • Records test results and captures evidence such as screenshots.
  • Logs defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected results and actual results.
  • Retests fixed defects and runs regression tests.
  • Prepares and maintains test data.
  • Assists with updating test cases and test documentation.
  • Supports user acceptance testing as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ year of software testing, quality assurance or technical support experience.
  • Experience following written test procedures and documenting results.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, ALM or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for checking test data.
  • Experience supporting federal government contracts.

Compensation

  • $52,959 – $58,843 per year
