Test Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and run test cases based on business requirements and user stories, covering functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Validate data integrity and system outputs against expected results; log defects, record results, and track issues through resolution.
• Work with developers, auditors, and Product Owners to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support User Acceptance Testing.
• Help improve testing processes, tools, and methods, including supporting the introduction of test automation tools.

Minimum criteria

• Proven experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the QA role in an Agile environment.
• Well-organised and analytical, with clear written and verbal communication; able to prioritise projects and work independently or in cross-functional teams.

Desirable skills and experience

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, QA best practices, and web application testing, including cross-browser compatibility.
• Financial services, audit, or consulting experience and understanding of financial systems, ERP platforms, or audit processes.
• Exposure to automation frameworks such as Selenium, Postman, or Playwright, and to data validation.
• ISTQB certification is preferred but not essential.
