Techno Functional Consultant Darwin Box – Freelance Contract (6 Months)
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Darwin box specialist to join us on a 6-month freelance contract as our dedicated operational point of contact for all Darwin box-related needs.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role and will work directly with our HR Transformation team, providing responsive and reliable support across system maintenance, service requests, vendor coordination, and quality assurance.
This role will also support us to ensure stability and continuity of our Darwin box environment during an active system improvement phase.
What You Will Do
- Serve as single point of contact (SPOC) for all Darwin box operational needs — bugs, system issues, and troubleshooting
- Manage and resolve support requests independently, escalating to the Darwin box support portal where required and aiming at timely resolution
- Proactively support Darwin box team coordination on an ongoing system improvement project, tracking progress and flagging risks to internal stakeholders
- Handle service requests end-to-end: report creation, mass data loads, configuration adaptation, and functional fixes
- Execute small-to-medium configuration changes and enhancements within the platform
- Support testing, training and quality assurance activities for system changes, updates, and releases
- Provide clear, timely status updates to the HR Transformation leader on all open items
What You Bring
- Proven, hands-on Darwin box experience — you must be able to configure, troubleshoot, and execute independently from day one; general HRIS experience is not sufficient
- Demonstrated experience managing operational HRIS support: service requests, data loads, report building, and configuration
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and system quality
- Good understanding of HR processes, policies and operating models
- Clear and concise communication
- Ability to pick up system ownership mid-lifecycle, sometimes without the benefit of a structured handover
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Immediately available or on a very short notice period
- Nice to Have
- Experience with Darwin box in a UAE or GCC context
- Experience on Darwin box integration with third party tools / ERP
- Familiarity with UAE HR and payroll compliance requirements
- Experience stabilizing or remediating a Darwin box environment post-implementation
