Role purpose

Production operations

• Operate milling, slurry preparation, separation, washing, drying, and packing equipment.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, flow rates, pH, and moisture; start up, shut down, and change over equipment under SOPs.
• Manage correct raw material feeding and handling, and record production data, batch details, and deviations accurately.

Quality, safety, and maintenance

• Follow GMP and quality standards, support sampling and basic quality checks, report abnormalities, and minimize losses and wastage.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements, participate in drills, toolbox talks, and audits, and handle chemicals safely.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S; perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning, report malfunctions, and coordinate with maintenance during breakdowns.

Documentation and compliance

• Maintain production logs, checklists, and shift handover records.
• Comply with ISO, FSSC 22000, HACCP, or other applicable standards and statutory requirements.

Candidate profile

• Basic understanding of starch production, ability to read gauges, indicators, and production sheets, and discipline in following SOPs and safety rules.
• Good communication, teamwork, analytical, interpersonal, presentation, and decision-making skills are listed; leadership and manpower-handling capabilities are also requested.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts.

Experience and education

• The description cites 0–3 years in starch, food processing, agro-based, or chemical manufacturing; deserving freshers may be considered.
• A diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or Food Technology is preferred for starch or food plants.
• Candidates with 10+2 and relevant industrial experience may be considered.

• The manufacturing role is based at Roquette's Gokak unit.
