Technical Specialist

Role overview

What you'll do

• Lead technical projects, develop EPM design and governance standards, evaluate technologies, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Lead proof-of-concept work, represent the specialist team, contribute to technical strategies, and advise on critical technical decisions.
• Design scalable Oracle EPM applications for financial processes, including dimensions, metadata, forms, dashboards, and reporting artifacts.
• Build planning, forecasting, reporting, and control processes using EPM forms, business rules, and workflows.
• Develop Groovy-based approval, governance, and control processes for sign-offs, attestations, and workflow requirements.
• Optimize calculation scripts and business rules, assess integration needs, and recommend EPM integration technologies and patterns.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during delivery.

What you'll need

• Deep EPM Cloud expertise, including dimensional modelling, calculation design, reporting, and integration patterns.
• Extensive EPBCS and Freeform configuration experience and experience translating business needs into planning forms, templates, dashboards, and solutions.
• Extensive Groovy business-rule experience, including workflow automation, custom approvals, business controls, and process orchestration.
• Advanced calculation script expertise covering optimization, sequencing, block creation, dimension design, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Oracle Essbase architecture knowledge and a record of optimizing Oracle EPM applications.
• Experience designing EPM reporting with management reports, KPIs, dashboards, narratives, and business insights.
• EPM ecosystem integration knowledge and ability to select appropriate designs and operating processes.

Additional desirable experience

• OIC, enterprise integrations, and Apache Groovy working knowledge are desirable.
• Oracle FCCS, Task Manager, close workflows, Data Exchange, Data Maps, Smart Push, and EPM Automate experience is desirable.
• Large-scale finance planning and management reporting experience and familiarity with OAC and financial analytics ecosystems are desirable.
