Opportunity

The Technical Program Manager makes the product and technology portfolio easier to understand, fund, and deliver.

Owns the operating rhythm and evidence for portfolio decisions; product leaders own strategy and engineering leaders own technical design and delivery.

What you will own

  • Maintain an integrated view of product, engineering, platform, migration, and AI initiatives, including outcomes, milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
  • Build portfolio analyses for investment, sequencing, consolidation, and retirement decisions; partner with Finance on budgets, forecasts, cloud costs, vendor spend, and program economics.
  • Identify overlapping capabilities and recommend rationalization using customer, revenue, cost, risk, and technical evidence.
  • Account for migration effort, implementation commitments, and continuity for local government customers in portfolio recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional programs through launch and transition; prepare executive reviews with options, tradeoffs, confidence levels, and decisions needed.
  • Improve planning and reporting so teams spend less time producing status updates.

What you bring

  • Technical degree or substantial hands-on technical experience, plus an MBA.
  • Strong experience in technical program management, portfolio management, strategy and operations, or a related role in a software organization.
  • Fluency with software architecture, cloud, product development, and modernization programs.
  • Financial modeling and business-case skills, including total cost of ownership, unit economics, investment scenarios, and benefits tracking.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication with technical, product, finance, and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Track record of turning ambiguous cross-team work into clear decisions and reliable execution.
  • GovTech portfolios, public-sector contracts, or acquired software business integration experience is a plus.

Workplace

  • The role is described as remote-eligible and primarily office-based or remote, with 15–25% annual travel for on-site engagements, team meetings, and company events.
  • Occasional weekend travel may be required.

Benefits

  • Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and professional development support.
