Technical Product Manager / Owner - UAE

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize business needs using client requirements, regulatory changes, and market trends to create a feasible, scalable roadmap.
• Translate customer and market needs into functional specifications, workflows, schemas, and implementation concepts.
• Own product vision, roadmap, positioning, and value proposition while balancing customer needs, technical realities, and competitive differentiation.
• Manage the backlog according to business value, customer needs, technical dependencies, and regulatory deadlines.
• Define functionality and technical scope, write specifications, and map schemas.
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, schemas, and supporting documentation.
• Liaise across Management, Business Analysts, Development, Release Management, and operational stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Service Desk, Release Management, and Product Managers on strategy and delivery.
• Work with engineering teams to deliver features and enhancements on time.
• Assess system interactions, data flows, APIs, integrations, and technical constraints.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments and identify customer and operational problems worth solving.
• Translate business and technical requirements into product specifications and implementation concepts.

Qualifications and requirements

• At least 5 years of Product Management experience; SaaS, fintech, regulatory, or technically complex environments are preferred.
• Experience in strongly regulated industries and understanding of compliance-driven business environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Agile tools.
• Technical understanding of APIs, integrations, workflows, and system architecture concepts.
• Good understanding of SDLC and technical product delivery processes.
• Experience in requirements engineering, solution analysis, and technical documentation.
• Openness to adopting modern AI-assisted tools in daily work.
• Knowledge of EMIR, MiFID/MiFIR, or SFTR is desirable but not required.
• Product Owner/Management certification is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, independence, prioritization, ownership, and cross-functional teamwork.

Location and working model

• The role is based in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• The working model is hybrid: 60% onsite and 40% home office; home working up to 40% is available after the probation period.
• The stated work schedule is 42 hours per week.

Schedule and start date

• Earliest stated start date is 11 January 2027.
