QA Frontend Automation Engineer

Location and working arrangement

• The role is based in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.
• Full-time working hours; flexible hours are offered.
• Work from home is available up to 40% after the probation period.

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute manual tests for the Angular frontend application.
• Develop, maintain, and improve Playwright and Python-based frontend UI and end-to-end test automation.
• Improve frontend quality and testing strategy, and support performance-testing initiatives.
• Document test results, defects, and processes in Jira and Confluence.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, UX, and engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, test quality, and automation development.
• Build QA practices and encourage adoption of manual and automated testing across the frontend pipeline.

Requirements and preferred qualifications

• Hands-on Playwright experience is required; Python automated-test development is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining frontend UI automation and end-to-end test suites.
• Strong understanding of manual testing and test management; performance-testing experience.
• Backend REST API or integration testing is an advantage.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent experience is preferred; foundational SQL knowledge is preferred.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence; excellent written and spoken English.
• Collaborative, self-organized, structured, proactive, and curious approach with an ownership mindset.
• Openness to adopting modern AI-assisted tools in daily work.
