Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Office Manager to oversee and manage all technical office operations for building construction projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating technical documentation, shop drawings, BOQs, project planning, material submittals, and communication between consultants, site teams, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
π§© Responsibility Areas
π Consultant Review & Coordination
- Review drawings, RFIs, and technical submittals
- Manage technical comments, clarifications, and approvals
π Master Programme & Schedule
- Develop and control project master schedules
- Primavera P6 / MS Project planning and critical path analysis
π Quantity Surveying & Estimation
- BOQ preparation and validation
- Tender pricing, cost benchmarking, and cost planning
π° Cost Control & Budget Management
- Earned value analysis
- Cost variance reporting and cash flow forecasting
π Contract Administration & Claims
- Manage FIDIC-based contracts
- Variations, EOTs, claims, and contractual notices
- π§ Value Engineering
- Propose alternative materials and methods
- Feasibility studies and costβbenefit analysis
π¦ Procurement Plan & Work Packages
- Define scopes of work and packages
- Manage subcontractor tendering and evaluations
- π Technical Reporting
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly technical & commercial reports
- Direct reporting to CEO / General Manager
- β Requirements
- **Education:**
- B.Sc. in Engineering (mandatory); PMP certification is a strong advantage
- **Experience:**
- Minimum 10+ years of total experience, including at least 5+ years in UAE/GCC Technical Office roles
- **Software Skills:**
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Revit, Advanced MS Excel, and exposure to BIM workflows
- **Contract Knowledge:**
- Strong working knowledge of FIDIC contracts
- **Languages:**
- English is mandatory; Arabic is a strong advantage
- **Leadership:**
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, coordinate, and mentor technical teams
