The position is Technical Office Engineer with a construction company.
The role focuses on construction contract administration, subcontractor contracts, FIDIC, and related project support.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and administer construction contracts and review contract documents.
- Handle contract disputes and arbitrations; ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to support project execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
- Use structural design software to design and verify temporary works such as tower crane foundations and heavy-duty scaffolding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a bachelor’s degree is stated as required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar construction-industry role in Dubai/UAE; the posting states 5 years as required and also labels it preferred elsewhere.
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts, including versions such as 1987 and 1999, and proven contract administration experience.
- Excellent written and verbal English; Arabic is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize.
- Capable of using STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, or Robot to design and verify temporary works.
