Construction Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction and compliance with specifications, approved drawings, Dubai Municipality codes, and safety regulations.
• Lead civil engineering projects from conception to completion, focusing on high-rise residential and commercial buildings.
• Coordinate project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution.
• Conduct inspections and quality-control checks; resolve technical issues through review of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress and milestones and report challenges and achievements to senior management.
• Guide and support project team members and ensure regulatory, project, and health and safety compliance.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 13 years of civil engineering project experience, including at least 5 years in high-rise building construction in Dubai.
• Proven high-rise project delivery in Dubai and knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations and approval processes.
• Knowledge of RTA, DEWA, and other local authority requirements; high-rise construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and project scheduling.
• Proficiency with industry software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or AutoCAD.
• Able to collaborate with teams and lead diverse workforces; a UAE driving license is preferred.
