Search for a Senior Manager – Technical on behalf of a major offshore drilling operator in Saudi Arabia.
Lead strategic and technical oversight of fleet equipment, maintenance, and reliability across offshore rig operations.
Own the fleet maintenance and reliability function, including CMMS, well control, Field Support, and capital equipment management.
Drive compliance, equipment longevity, and continuous improvement across the offshore asset base.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Technical Support, Well Control, and Maintenance & Reliability department strategy, goals, and standards.
- Manage department budgets, resources, and tools.
- Oversee SAP CMMS implementation and standardized fleet-wide maintenance practices.
- Direct offshore Field Support teams supporting rig-based mechanical, electrical, and well control integrity.
- Develop five-year equipment inspection and maintenance philosophies.
- Provide strategic technical input into annual maintenance budgets.
- Lead equipment downtime incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Evaluate new technologies for rig implementation.
- Support SPS, reactivation, and upgrade projects across the fleet.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- At least 15 years of Oil & Gas experience, including at least five years in a technical managerial role.
- Proven leadership in offshore technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and project management.
Skills
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development capability.
- Advanced technical problem-solving across offshore fleet operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project proficiency.
- Working knowledge of document control systems and databases.
