The analyst will focus initially on the service-account estate in a hybrid governance and technical role.
Machine-identity lifecycle
- Help operate service-account creation, ownership, permission approval, access review, change and retirement processes.
- Investigate existing accounts to establish ownership, purpose, usage, access and dependencies; resolve data gaps with relevant teams.
- Identify dormant or unowned accounts, coordinate remediation and maintain auditable lifecycle records.
Automation and business enablement
- Work with application and platform teams to bring service accounts onto a governed lifecycle.
- Help make the governed path straightforward for teams creating machine identities.
- Translate operational issues into requirements for IAM engineers and platform owners, and help validate changes.
- Execute IAM processes, recommend control improvements, contribute to team objectives and documentation, and escalate security risks.
Essential competencies
- Use Python to analyse data and automate operational or governance tasks; write, test, troubleshoot and maintain scripts.
- Understand IAM concepts, including account lifecycle, ownership and access review.
- Investigate inconsistent data, reach defensible conclusions and follow issues through to resolution.
- Work confidently with technical teams and communicate clearly with non-technical account owners.
- Use sound judgement to distinguish script-level work from changes requiring production-grade engineering.
Advantageous experience
- Interest in using AI-assisted tooling to improve investigations is advantageous.
