Job Summary
10+ years in infrastructure engineering, including hands-on Kubernetes administration and architecture, DevOPs
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise infrastructure across bare-metal, virtualized and hybrid environments, covering capacity, availability, networking, storage and disaster recovery. Deploy, administer and troubleshoot Rancher-managed RKE/RKE2 Kubernetes clusters, containerized applications and distributed computing platforms. Manage Kubernetes lifecycle activities, including control-plane HA, worker provisioning, upgrades, etcd backup/recovery and workload resilience. Administer Linux systems, networking, file systems and storage technologies; perform capacity planning and performance tuning for production workloads. Design and operate Ceph storage, including MON, MGR, OSD, MDS and RGW services, and integrate RBD/CephFS with Kubernetes through CSI. Configure Kubernetes networking, ingress, load balancing, DNS, certificates, network policies and persistent storage. Automate cluster provisioning, installation, configuration management and deployment orchestration using Ansible, Terraform and appropriate provisioning platforms. Develop Python, Bash and other automation tools for installation, validation, monitoring, health checks and operational workflows. Diagnose Linux device-driver, kernel-module and operating-system issues, ensuring compatibility across hardware, firmware and software dependencies. Evaluate and qualify enterprise server platforms, validating BIOS settings, BMC/IPMI firmware, hardware health and system configurations. Deploy and support GPU-accelerated infrastructure, including NVIDIA drivers, CUDA and AI/ML platforms; optimize compute-intensive workloads. Configure and troubleshoot high-performance networking using NVIDIA/Mellanox technologies, RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand and high-speed Ethernet. Implement observability, logging and cluster health management using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry or equivalent platforms. Establish GitOps, CI/CD, Helm and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, including automated validation, release management and rollback procedures. Implement enterprise identity integration, RBAC, secrets management, security hardening and container security controls. Support secure, mission-critical and air-gapped environments, including customer deployments, controlled upgrades and critical incident resolution. Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across applications, Kubernetes, Linux, storage, networking, GPUs and server hardware. Coordinate with vendors, customers and cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues and deliver validated infrastructure. Maintain architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, runbooks and recovery procedures; mentor engineers and lead operational handover.
