Job Description

Lead a high-performing engineering squad building property experiences for millions of Australians.

Deliver a significant frontend-focused roadmap for a digital property brand.

Balance technical leadership with hands-on engineering and delivery.

Work with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to modernise platforms and influence technical direction.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor engineers while building a culture of ownership, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive a frontend-heavy roadmap that creates engaging customer experiences at scale.
  • Partner with Product and Design to shape roadmaps and translate customer and business needs into technical solutions.
  • Guide architecture and engineering decisions to ensure scalability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
  • Champion engineering practices across development, testing, DevOps, security, and observability.
  • Coach engineers and help solve complex technical challenges.

Ideally You'll Have

  • Proven software engineering team leadership experience in Agile environments.
  • Strong experience building large-scale, customer-facing web applications.
  • Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience delivering responsive, accessible, high-performance user experiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Product, Design, and Engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD, testing, and cloud-native development.
  • Exposure to Next.js, Node.js, AWS, microservices, or distributed systems is highly regarded.
