Job Description The role of a Teaching Assistant is pivotal in fostering a supportive learning environment for students and assisting educators with classroom tasks. As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with teachers to ensure students receive effective and efficient education. Your responsibilities will include classroom management, providing additional support to students, and assisting in lesson preparation and delivery. This position requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a passion for education. You will play a significant part in enhancing the learning experience by addressing individual student needs and encouraging student participation. You’ll also support administrative duties that ensure a smooth learning process. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers with classroom instruction to ensure effective learning.
• Support students individually or in small groups to enhance their understanding.
• Help prepare lesson materials, including copying and distributing worksheets.
• Manage classroom supplies and ensure the learning environment is organized.
• Facilitate classroom activities while promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher when necessary.
• Assist with implementing behavior management strategies in the classroom.
• Accompany and supervise students during field trips and other school events.
• Organize display materials and bulletin boards to enrich classroom settings.
• Conduct clerical tasks such as grading assignments and recording attendance.
• Communicate with parents and guardians as directed by lead educators.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities regularly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
• Prior experience in educational settings or as a Teaching Assistant preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students and teachers effectively.
• Ability to manage classroom activities and multitask under pressure.
• Demonstrated patience and a positive attitude towards helping students learn.
• Competency in basic educational technology and digital tools used in teaching.
• Willingness to undergo background checks in compliance with school policies.
