Role description
The Tax Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role provides tax advisory services covering business structures, transactions, and cross-border operations within the UAE regulatory framework.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns and VAT filings, ensuring accurate computations and documentation.
- Support tax compliance across jurisdictions and conduct research into tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with tax audits and resolve tax-related queries with authorities and stakeholders.
- Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies while mitigating risk.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients on engagements and prepare clear reports and recommendations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes and service quality.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in tax planning and tax law for tax-efficient structures and strategies.
- Strong experience in tax compliance and preparation, including VAT, corporate tax, and related filings.
- Experience handling tax audits and tax-related queries.
- Understanding of UAE tax regulations and international tax principles for cross-border business.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or CTA are advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software with strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage multiple client engagements, and meet deadlines.
