Systems Engineer – Landing Gear

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of landing gear systems, including actuation, retraction, steering, and damping mechanisms
• Define, manage, and validate system requirements aligned with mission objectives and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with structures, avionics, flight controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration
• Perform stress, load, and fatigue analysis using simulation tools to ensure structural integrity and reliability
• Prepare and execute verification and validation plans, including ground and flight test activities
• Ensure compliance with applicable airworthiness and regulatory standards (EASA, GCAA, MIL-STD)
• Provide technical oversight and support supplier engagement for landing gear components and assemblies
• Maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, configuration control, and change requests

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in

Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering

• (Master’s degree preferred)
• Minimum
• 5 years of experience
• in aerospace landing gear system design, development, and integration
• Strong background in
• system-level engineering
• and aircraft subsystem integration
• Experience working within
• regulated environments
• , preferably involving UAV, military, or aerospace platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification
• Chartered Engineer status
• Familiarity with GCAA and/or EASA certification frameworks

Technical Tools & Standards

• ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent FEA tools
