Overview
The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise IT infrastructure and platform services.
This role requires deep technical expertise in server architecture, virtualization, storage, and networking, along with a proactive approach to ensuring system availability, performance, and security across customer environments
Kep Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure solutions aligned with business and customer requirements
- Lead the implementation and integration of server, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms across on-premises and hybrid environments
- Architect and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) including resource optimization and capacity planning
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Office 365) services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, user provisioning, licensing, and identity services (Azure AD / Entra ID)
- Implement and maintain email security, compliance, and data protection policies (e.g., DLP, MFA, Conditional Access)
- Perform migrations to Microsoft 365 (mailbox, file services, hybrid environments)
- Monitor and optimize Microsoft 365 performance, availability, and security posture
- Perform advanced system configuration, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues
- Develop and enforce system hardening, patch management, and security best practices in line with industry standards
- Plan and execute disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies, including backup architecture and testing
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
- Conduct system monitoring, health checks, and proactive maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and reliability
- Lead system upgrade, migration, and transformation projects with minimal business disruption
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and act as an escalation point for critical incidents
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
- Participate in pre-sales activities by providing technical input, solution design, and effort estimation
