About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy across the client's infrastructure.
• Manage and support Microsoft Exchange 2016 on premises: mailbox administration, mail flow troubleshooting, connectors, and ensuring high availability of email services.
• Administer and maintain Hyper V virtualisation environments including VM provisioning, snapshots, resource management, and performance optimisation.
• Monitor network infrastructure 24/7 using NOC tools (PRTG or similar), proactively identify issues, and respond to alerts before they impact business operations.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices including switches, routers, and wireless access points; perform VLAN configuration, routing, and switching tasks.
• Administer and maintain endpoint security using CrowdStrike or other tools: monitor alerts, manage policies, investigate detections, and coordinate remediation.
• Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls to enforce security policies aligned with banking sector compliance requirements.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, apply security patches, and implement hardening baselines across servers, endpoints, and network devices.
• Provide timely technical support for infrastructure incidents, escalate where required, and maintain clear incident documentation and reports.
• Maintain up to date and accurate documentation of network diagrams, server configurations, Active Directory structures, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and client stakeholders to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and security improvements.
• Ensure all systems and configurations comply with the client's IT security policies, banking regulations, and internal governance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 to 7 years of hands on experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or network engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Exchange 2016 administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Hyper V virtualisation : VM management, clustering concepts, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with NOC monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security platforms, preferably CrowdStrike Falcon.
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Prior experience working in a banking, financial services, or similarly regulated environment is a strong advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across server, network, and security layers.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on site at a client environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Certifications

• MCSA / MCSE : Windows Server administration (strongly preferred)
• CCNA : Cisco Certified Network Associate (strongly preferred)
• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA Network+

• CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Responder (CCFR)

• VMware / Hyper V certifications
