Develop and execute sustainability strategies aligned with organizational objectives and environmental stewardship.
Work across departments to integrate sustainable practices and support measurable ESG impact.
Responsibilities
- Integrate sustainability principles into planning and design decisions throughout project development.
- Contribute to sustainability-led masterplanning frameworks, performance targets, and implementation roadmaps.
- Support masterplan-level sustainability assessments, rating systems, certification frameworks, and ESG studies where applicable.
- Evaluate energy, water, carbon, mobility, ecology, climate resilience, and circular economy themes.
- Research and benchmark local and international sustainability standards, policies, and practices.
- Prepare technical reports and client-submission documentation.
- Coordinate design information with multidisciplinary teams and monitor sustainability commitments, actions, and targets.
Qualifications
- An active LEED, Estidama, or community-level Sahel credential is required; additional relevant accreditations are advantageous.
- An educational background in Sustainability Planning is preferred.
- Understanding of sustainable urban planning and masterplanning principles.
- Ability to interpret technical information, communicate findings, coordinate across disciplines, and work effectively in teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work model
- The stated work location model is hybrid.
- New employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
