Role Overview

Lead the operational, analytical, and technical foundations of BCG's internal sustainability measurement systems.

Ensure global data quality, consistent methodologies, and actionable insights for the company's net zero commitment.

Work with sustainability, data, platform, product, regional, and vendor stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal greenhouse gas emissions data, reporting systems, and analytical products.
  • Enhance data pipelines, automation, and sustainability data architecture with data engineering teams.
  • Write specifications, review data models, and oversee code quality for data pipelines and dashboards.
  • Maintain end-to-end data governance, quality assurance, and a reliable single source of truth.
  • Build monthly reporting dashboards and analytics tools supporting carbon reduction insights.
  • Support annual carbon footprint calculations and coordinate external audits of greenhouse gas emissions data.
  • Align stakeholder requirements, drive reporting-tool adoption, and support change management.
  • Line manage a Senior Analyst through coaching, direction, and growth opportunities.

Must-Have Experience

  • Bring 6+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, BI, or related technical operational roles.
  • Have hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
  • Demonstrate strong SQL and Python fluency.
  • Have advanced data visualization experience with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Write technical specifications, review code or data models, and support engineering workflows.
  • Lead projects and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and project management experience.

Nice to Have

  • Sustainability-context experience is ideal but not required.
  • Exposure to SAP, Workday, or ChromeRiver is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, greenhouse gas accounting, assurance procedures, Agile practices, advanced Excel, or statistical analysis is beneficial.

Work Arrangement

  • The role generally requires work from a BCG office or in person with clients on a regular basis, typically around 50% of working time, subject to business needs and local policies.
