The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing high-quality sushi and Japanese dishes while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
The Sushi Chef will ensure consistent food quality, proper presentation, and an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi items including nigiri, maki, sashimi, and specialty rolls
- Ensure freshness and quality of all fish and ingredients
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Prepare ingredients such as slicing fish, preparing rice, and sauces
- Monitor stock levels and inform management of inventory needs
- Ensure attractive and consistent presentation of all sushi dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
- Follow restaurant recipes, standards, and SOPs
- Assist in developing new sushi menu items when required
- Comply with all UAE food safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine techniques and presentation
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification
- Experience working in hotels or high-volume restaurants
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
