Role Purpose

Key Accountabilities & Activities
- **Strategic Duties:**
- Actively contribute to the development of the company’s overall strategies, objectives, and policies.
- Design and implement comprehensive work plans for the supply chain division, assigning tasks to ensure the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
- Develop KPIs for the supply chain department, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and monitoring progress.
- Oversee the implementation of supply chain strategies, ensuring workflow adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate performance against pre-set goals, proposing preventive and corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare and manage the supply chain budget, collaborating with the finance division to monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- **Technical and Executive Duties:**
- Oversee all supply chain processes, including demand planning, procurement, contract management, and warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with related functions to accurately assess and forecast material demands and potential new product needs.
- Lead procurement processes, including sourcing equipment, tools, and materials, to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Approve and manage relationships with high-quality, cost-optimized vendors required to support operations.
- Drive strategic negotiations with major vendors and suppliers to secure favorable contracts and partnerships.
- Oversee contract management processes, including vendor relationship management, dispute resolution, and performance evaluation.
- Identify and address supply chain process bottlenecks, implementing actions to improve efficiency and performance.
- Regularly analyze supply chain KPIs and operational data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance performance.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal supply while minimizing excess stock and associated costs.
- **People and Leadership Duties:**
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams within the supply chain function, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Mentor and coach team members, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives and values.
- Establish performance metrics for team members, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the supply chain team by encouraging innovation and professional development.
- **Risk Management and Compliance Duties:**
- Develop and implement risk management strategies for the supply chain, mitigating potential disruptions and ensuring business continuity.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, industry standards, and company policies across all supply chain activities.
- Establish contingency plans and monitor supply chain vulnerabilities, proactively addressing risks.
- **Business Development Duties:**
- Identify opportunities to optimize and expand supply chain operations, enhancing value creation and competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to support the company’s growth strategies through efficient supply chain operations.
- Represent the company in negotiations, partnerships, and strategic initiatives related to supply chain operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- **EDUCATION:**
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- **TOTAL EXPERIENCE:**
- Minimum 12 years of total work experience (any sector).
- **RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:**
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, defined as procurement, sourcing, vendor management, logistics or supply-chain operations in a comparable corporate environment.
- Non-relevant experience (e.g., experience in unrelated industries or functions) does NOT substitute for the relevant-experience requirement above.
- **PEOPLE-MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:**
- Minimum 6 years of those relevant years must be in a direct people-management or equivalent leadership capacity (defined as direct line-management responsibility for a team of staff, including hiring, performance management and termination input).
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree or a recognised professional qualification in the field.
- Certification: CIPS (Levels 3, 4, 5 or 6 by seniority)
• Certification: CSCMP And APICS CSCP
- Certification: CPSM
- Saudi National (KSA): preferred to support Saudization / Nitaqat compliance; not a blocking criterion.
