Strategic Responsibilities
- Receive service and repair job orders from service advisors.
- Manage loading, explain and justify additional repairs, prepare cost estimates, and obtain customer approval.
- Resolve customer complaints and support a positive ownership experience.
- Raise requisitions for approved additional parts, follow up on orders, and keep advisors informed.
- Ensure sufficient vehicles are received and service orders opened; achieve budgeted revenue targets.
- Promote value-added services, tyres, and accessories.
Operational Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly productive-efficiency targets and maximize workshop productivity.
- Monitor work in progress and service orders to ensure timely billing.
- Meet vehicle turnaround-time and first-time-fix targets.
- Develop technicians' skills for cross-functionality and coach them on performance and KPIs.
- Keep direct reports informed of daily or weekly performance.
- Ensure SOPs and workshop standards are followed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in automobile or mechanical engineering.
- 3 to 7 years of workshop supervisor experience in the automobile industry.
- Experience in the dealer automobile industry.
- Highly organized, results-driven, tactical, and able to make decisions.
