Position Purpose
Identify critical process parameters and suggest or implement them in standard operating procedures.
Strategic and Operational Responsibilities
- Run and monitor process parameters according to SOPs.
- Identify critical parameters and support their implementation in SOPs.
- Provide input for troubleshooting.
- Support process improvements during and after commissioning.
- Coordinate with QC and R&D to run trials.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping on the shop floor during operations.
Financial and People Responsibilities
- Contribute to budget proposals and budgetary controls within the assigned area.
- Coordinate with process development engineers, R&D scientists, and the analytical department.
- Follow instructions from the plant in-charge.
- Supervise contract workers.
Education and Experience
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Chemistry, or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
- 4 to 5 years of work experience.
- Target industries include agrochemicals, fine chemicals, pharmaceutical API, and specialty chemicals.
Functional Competencies
- Asset and circuit planning.
- Capacity and time calculation.
- Basic engineering packages, including BFD and PFD.
Work Location
- The position is located at PNL and includes shop-floor operational responsibilities.
