Position Overview

Plant Operations

• Set daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
• Assign responsibilities, prepare schedules, and manage workflow.
• Guide and coach employees and monitor productivity.
• Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
• Maintain plant operations systems, guidelines, procedures, formats, and records in line with ISO standards.
• Monitor chemical processes, equipment, and machinery for safe and efficient operation.
• Plan, control, and execute batches and optimize plant operations.
• Supervise batch charging and verify raw-material quantities according to SOPs.
• Handle solvent recovery, vacuum distillation, atmospheric distillation, reactors, pumps, and jet ejector systems.

Safety and Quality

• Maintain accurate production-process, equipment-performance, and quality-control records.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, implement preventive measures, and provide safety training.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications and Experience

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
• 3-9 years of experience in a production department.
• Industry background in agrochemicals, fine chemicals, or API.

Functional Competencies

• Knowledge of production processes and inventory management.
• Knowledge and experience with quality management systems and quality audits.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Understanding of DCS operation and basic process safety standards, including MSDS.
