Summary
The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor coordinates and manages pharmacy technician staff involved in medication preparation and distribution -related activities to achieve continuous and optimal patient care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma preferred. Preference for either an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Pharmacy Technician, Certificate degree as Pharmacy Technician, or a combination of education and relevant pharmacy management experience (2-4 years).
- License/Certifications: Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician with Maine State Board of Pharmacy required.
- Experience: See "Education"
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of technician staff.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with other managers/supervisors and hospital personnel.
- Technical acumen for applications relevant to pharmacy operations.
