Key Responsibilities
- Assists staff with selecting the appropriate materials, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste of material, and find the most appropriate and economical materials available.
- Identifies facilities deficiencies and accurately documents potential equipment/system breakdowns in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines. Makes recommendations on repair options to Manager.
- Ensures cleanliness, security, and maintenance of assigned tools, equipment, workbenches, mechanical spaces and all hospital property.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of upkeep and maintenance of interior and exterior surfaces of the building such as painting, carpentry, metal work, sheetrock replacement, carpet, and tile replacement utilizing proper PPE.
- Follows safety procedures, operates equipment and performs job-related duties in a safe manner which prevents accidents/injuries from occurring to self or others.
- Communicates job duties to staff in a clear, understandable, and concise manner; plans, directs, and supervises work of assigned staff utilizing positive communications and effective problem solving skills
Required Qualifications
- Universal CFC License
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10 years of Maintenance/Engineering in Hospital Setting
- Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
