Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead shipping and receiving and monitor conveyors, hoppers and elevators; adjust loading and unloading controls.
• Plan day, night and weekend team activities and communicate rail-yard movements and loading needs to the night production supervisor.
• Prepare and help distribute daily reports and KPIs; plan product movements to meet shipping schedules.
• Coordinate grain storage rotation and use of grain and oil tanks.
• Maintain department records for work, equipment, railcar movements and loading or unloading.
• Oversee rail-yard railcar positioning and general track maintenance.
• Oversee maintenance of trackmobiles and wheel loaders.
• Report received railcars, loaded trucks and railcars, and seed and meal inventory accurately and promptly.
• Supervise housekeeping and sanitation to meet food and animal feed safety objectives.

Requirements

• At least five years of shipping and receiving experience, including supervisory or management experience.
• Experience maintaining and repairing equipment and working with automated control systems.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and rotate one weekend out of every two.
• Strong communication skills, honesty and integrity.
• French-English bilingualism is an asset.

• 12-hour day shifts, rotating one weekend out of every two.

Workplace

• Work is at the Bunge oilseed processing facility in Bécancour.
