About This Role
Role Overview
We are seeking a capable and motivated Supermarket Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, ensure outstanding customer service, manage floor staff, and support the Store Manager in achieving operational and sales objectives.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage day-to-day challenges efficiently.
1. Store Operations
- Supervise daily supermarket activities including sales floor, counters, and checkout operations
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, hygiene, and proper product display across all departments
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory and procurement teams for replenishment
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and food hygiene standards
2. Staff Supervision & Development
- Lead and guide floor staff, cashiers, and section in-charges
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate work effectively
- Monitor staff performance, provide training, and build a customer-focused team
- Resolve staff issues and escalate to management when required
3. Customer Service
- Ensure customers receive excellent service and assistance
- Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently
- Maintain a friendly, welcoming, and service-oriented store environment
4. Sales & Reporting
- Support in achieving sales targets and executing promotions
- Monitor daily sales, wastage, and shrinkage; report variances to management
- Prepare daily/weekly operational reports for management review
- 5.
& Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Business, Retail Management, or related field (preferred)
- 2–4 years supervisory experience in retail / supermarket / FMCG
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of inventory systems & POS operations
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
