1122 is a community where people learn technology by building projects, solving problems, and learning with peers.
This volunteer role helps students find their way, get answers, and reach the right person for support.
What you'll do
- Respond to student questions by email and Discord, and follow up until they receive an answer.
- Route technical issues to the technical team and learning or evaluation questions to the pedagogy team.
- Give the team context about what happened, what the student tried, and where the student is blocked.
- Welcome new joiners in the 2D virtual campus and help them navigate the community.
- Support check-in and the 21-day Sahara selection program without solving applicants' challenges for them.
- Organize common questions and useful answers, and share recurring issues to improve the student experience.
What we're looking for
- Good communication, patience, commitment, and willingness to learn; listen, follow through, and ask the team for help when needed.
- Comfort using email and Discord and working with people from different backgrounds.
- Regular availability during agreed support hours.
- No specific degree is required.
- Completing 1122's application process is required for this volunteer role.
Duration and compensation
- Unpaid volunteer opportunity for three months.
