Student Enrollment Counsellor

Job Purpose

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To support the planning and implementation of student outreach programs (i.e., career fairs, student exhibitions etc.) by coordinating with various vendors, university counterparts and internal departments in a bid to generate student interest in RIT’s services and programs
• To provide advisory services and facilitate students through the admissions process including but not limited to scheduling campus tours, answering queries about academic programs, advising on logistical arrangements, and assisting with all application requirements, documentation and the application process
• Participate in outreach events and programs such as parent orientations, new student orientations and open houses etc. to promote RIT university services in a bid to enhance admission rates
• Support and guide prospective students with university applications by reviewing, analyzing, and validating information and recommending actions for completion of admission requirements in line with RIT policies and procedures
• Responsible for updating and maintaining the enrollment database to ensure all relevant information is accurate and up to date at all times to support the delivery of enrollment services (i.e., school information, school curriculum, contact information, MOU agreements etc.)
• Review prospective students’ applications and guide students on courses of study, financial aid, scholarships, study abroad programs, COOP opportunities, or other related enrollment requirements, as needed
• Act as a point of contact for prospective student enquiries and ensue all queries are addressed in a timely manner as per RIT policies and procedures
• Schedule and conduct visits to high schools, technical schools, and/or colleges to promote the services and education programs of RIT university
• Liaise with agencies to promote RIT university across the region to raise awareness about RIT’s services and programs
• Support overseas prospective students with the preparation and submission of enrollment/admissions requirements
• Assist in maintaining positive working relationships with counterparts, schools, colleges, and partners to support the delivery of outreach programs and enhance student enrolment rates
• Contribute to the development of promotion and marketing materials/collaterals in preparation for outreach programs to raise awareness of RIT
• Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSE requirements using RIT policies and procedures as appropriate.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned / needed in order to meet the requirements of the role and the goals of the Institute.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant field
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
• Previous CRM Experience (Slate ”Ideal” or Salesforce or ZOHO or Hubspot etc..)
• Has their own Established agencies network
• Previous Experience in the international student recruitment market
• Excellent Sales skills
• Excellent command of English Language.
