STUDENT-Digital and Design Student Assistant

Requirements:

• The Digital and Design Student Assistant is an Art Major, Art Minor, or Graphic Design Minor who has completed ART 12000 and 22500 and proves strong familiarity with Gannett 129 Digital Lab processes and protocols. Preference given to those who have also completed ART 32500 and/or 28000.
• Duties and Responsibilities:
• The Digital and Design Student Assistant supports the instructors in and out of class sessions, helps with demonstration preparation, and helps keep a safe, clean, and well-organized studio environment. The SA shows responsible and safe use of digital equipment (and analog equipment for those assisting ART 12000. Knowledge of cameras and some software skills required (knowledge of printers, scanners, software/creative suite).
• Duties include routine cleaning and maintenance of Digital Studio Gannett 129, general instructional support and assisting with inventory management and instructional materials. The SA may help faculty prepare course materials, assist with classroom activities, library research and image search. Additionally, they will respectfully engage with students during class time, possibly mentor students, and host tutoring sessions outside of class. Reliability, clear communication, and strong attention to studio and equipment safety are essential.
