Overview
- Read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings and shop drawings.
- Measure, mark, cut, fit, and assemble structural steel members according to approved drawings.
- Fabricate steel structures including beams, columns, trusses, staircases, platforms, handrails, ladders, canopies, and miscellaneous steel works.
- Perform fit-up activities and prepare components for welding.
- Operate fabrication tools and equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, drilling machines, magnetic drills, and gas cutting equipment.
- Ensure dimensions, alignment, and tolerances are maintained as per project specifications.
- Coordinate with welders, foremen, and supervisors to achieve production targets.
- Identify material shortages and report them to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
- Follow company quality standards and HSE requirements at all times.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and movement of fabricated materials when required.
