Inhabit is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a background in steel bridge design, construction, inspection and rehabilitation.
The role covers structural engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle and requires compliance with project specifications, standards, safety requirements and client expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Review and verify steel bridge designs, calculations, shop drawings, fabrication drawings and erection methodologies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams; monitor construction against approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct bridge inspections, condition surveys and structural assessments; recommend repairs, strengthening or rehabilitation where needed.
- Support design-code compliance, planning, execution, commissioning and site resolution of engineering issues.
- Prepare reports, technical submissions, method statements and project documentation; attend meetings and represent the engineering team.
- Assist with value engineering, claims, variations and technical clarifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
- At least 8 years of Structural Engineer experience, including significant steel bridge project experience.
- Experience in steel bridge design, construction, inspection or rehabilitation; knowledge of steel structures, bridge engineering and structural analysis.
- Familiarity with international bridge design codes and standards.
- Proficiency with structural engineering software and design tools; experience reviewing fabrication drawings and erection procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and work in multidisciplinary teams.
- A valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
