Role overview
Develop comprehensive electrical BIM models for projects in Bengaluru, collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to deliver accurate, clash-free designs.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and related software in line with Indian electrical standards and project specifications.
- Create 2D schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings from BIM models.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve design clashes and conflicts.
- Perform clash detection and interface coordination using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Prepare electrical layouts for power distribution, lighting, cable routing, and containment.
- Ensure designs meet local regulations, project requirements, and BIM standards.
- Update models and provide technical clarifications to design teams.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and coordination drawings for procurement and construction.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Support BIM management, digital information sharing, and development of the MEP content library.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of professional experience in electrical BIM modelling on complex projects.
- Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revizto.
- Experience with collaborative platforms and CDEs, particularly Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, Indian electrical codes and standards, and BIM workflows.
- Expertise in clash detection, coordination drawings, and interdisciplinary design coordination.
- Understanding of power distribution, lighting, cable management, and electrical containment.
- Experience with quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.
- Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor junior members, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Experience on projects in the Indian market or South Asian region is preferred.
