Storekeeper & Receiving Agent

Overview

• Receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment and compiles records of supply transactions, verify that supplies received are listed on requisitions and invoices.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a warehouse, tool room, supply room or other areas.
• Maintain records of orders and the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on hand using manual or computerized inventory systems.
• Compile the records of the supplies and check the supplies from time to time.
• Receive materials so distribute it to all stores at sites.
• Coordinate between all stores at sites.
• Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
• Advise internal users on appropriateness of parts, supplies or materials requested.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma.
• Experience of 1 year in Receiving or 2 years Storekeeping in a hotel.
• 3+ years of experience as store keeper or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Good Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
• Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
• Competencies in data entry, analysis and management.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
• Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials.
