Job Summary
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing construction material storage, inventory control, and issuance activities for high-rise tower projects.
The role ensures proper handling, recording, and tracking of materials in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming construction materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all site materials.
- Issue materials request to site teams based on approved material requests.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of construction materials.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and stock reconciliations.
- Maintain material tracking logs and delivery records.
- Coordinate with suppliers and site engineers regarding deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures and HSE standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Monitor usage and minimize material wastage on site.
- Handle documentation related to GRN, delivery notes, and material transfers.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Storekeeper in main contracting companies.
- Experience in high-rise tower construction projects is mandatory.
- Knowledge of construction materials and inventory systems.
- Familiarity with ERP/software inventory systems preferred.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
