We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Storekeeper** to lead and manage our kitchen store.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, issuance, and tracking of raw materials, packaging supplies, and kitchen inventory.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operations by maintaining inventory accuracy, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety standards.
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and store raw food items, ingredients, and packaging materials.
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management software (e.g., Odoo, ERPNext or similar).
- Conduct daily/weekly physical stock checks and reconcile with system records.
Stock Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with the procurement and kitchen teams to ensure timely availability of required items.
- Forecast stock needs based on menu planning and consumption trends.
- Avoid overstocking or understocking of key ingredients.
Hygiene & Food Safety
- Ensure all items are stored in compliance with food safety and HACCP standards (FIFO, temperature control, labeling).
- Keep the store area clean, organized, and pest-free at all times.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, and damage/return logs.
- Submit regular inventory status reports to kitchen management.
- Flag near-expiry or slow-moving stock in a timely manner.
- Track usage patterns for continuous improvement in planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a storekeeper, preferably in a food or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of dietary food components (e.g., gluten-free, keto, diabetic-friendly ingredients) is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory software (ERP systems like ERPNext is advantageous).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer literacy (Excel, stock management tools).
