- A restaurant storekeeper manages food and non-food supplies, balancing inventory to minimize waste and ensure the kitchen and bar are fully stocked.
- Core duties include receiving and inspecting deliveries, organizing storage areas using **FIFO** (First-In, First-Out) rotation, and executing regular inventory counts and audits. [1, 2, 3]Receiving & Inspection
- **Verify Deliveries:** Cross-check incoming shipments with purchase orders and delivery notes (checking for correct quantities, weights, and prices).
- **Quality Control:** Reject spoiled, damaged, or expired items.
- **Temperature Checks:** Ensure temperature-sensitive goods (meat, dairy, seafood) are delivered within safe food safety zones. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Inventory & Stock Control
- **Stock Rotation:** Organize storerooms, freezers, and dry pantries so older stock is used first.
- **Daily/Weekly Audits:** Conduct routine physical inventory checks and reconcile them against your Point of Sale (POS) or inventory software.
- **Waste Tracking:** Log breakages, expired items, and spills to accurately calculate food costs. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
- Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
