About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Backup/Storage Administrator (L2)
to join our IT Systems team.
The role involves managing enterprise-grade storage and backup infrastructure across EMC, HP, IBM, and Dell technologies, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer SAN FC switches, blade chassis FC devices, and manage zoning for storage volumes.
- Oversee storage snapshots, replication, and performance optimization for production databases.
- Maintain and troubleshoot backup technologies (Networker, Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup, Tape Libraries).
- Support DR testing, update runbooks, and ensure RTO/RPO compliance.
- Perform proactive capacity planning, performance analysis, and system scalability improvements.
- Collaborate with DBAs, Operations, and vendors to resolve incidents and optimize infrastructure.
- Ensure documentation of configuration, troubleshooting procedures, and service records.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in storage and backup administration.
- Strong expertise in EMC, HP, IBM SAN systems (including VxRail appliances).
- Experience with Dell EMC Unity, HP MSA/3PAR, IBM SAN Storage, Dell Data Domain, and SAN switches.
- Knowledge of Dell PowerEdge physical servers and enterprise backup solutions.
