Storage & Backup Administrator (L2)
We are looking for an experienced Storage & Backup Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise storage, SAN infrastructure, backup technologies, disaster recovery, and performance optimization for mission-critical environments.
📌 Experience: 5+ Years
- 📌 Salary Budget-12K AED with single Benefits
- 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- 💾 Storage Management
- Administration and maintenance of EMC, HP, IBM SAN Storage systems and FC switches
- Manage SAN zoning, storage volumes, snapshots, replication, and recovery processes
- Monitor storage performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations
- Execute DR replication activities and supervise overnight replication jobs
- Maintain storage documentation and collaborate with DBA/Operations teams for optimal utilization
- 🛡️ Backup Management
- Manage enterprise backup environments including:
- Networker
- Veeam
- Commvault
- NetBackup
- Data Domain
- Troubleshoot and resolve daily backup failures
- Support DR testing and maintain DR runbooks with agreed RTO/RPO objectives
- Handle tape library maintenance and vendor coordination for hardware replacements
- Monitor backup license utilization and recommend optimization opportunities
⚙️ Infrastructure & Operations
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of storage/backup environments
- Perform hardware maintenance and software upgrades for storage arrays and backup appliances
- Implement security and compliance policies for backup and storage systems
- Maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting records, and service procedures
- Perform root cause analysis and proactively resolve incidents

EMC Unity, Dell EMC, HP MSA, HP 3PAR, IBM SAN Storage
✅ SAN FC Switches & Blade Chassis
✅ VxRail Appliances
✅ Backup Technologies – Networker, Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, Data Domain
✅ Tape Libraries & DR Operations
- 🔹 Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
- **5+ years of hands-on experience in Storage & Backup Administration**
- Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure support expertise in enterprise environments
