Lead the stewarding team and maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards that support kitchen, restaurant, and event operations.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the stewarding team's daily work.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards in back-of-house areas.
- Monitor cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and glassware.
- Ensure equipment is available and ready for banquet and restaurant operations.
- Train, coach, and motivate team members.
- Inspect operations and ensure compliance with HACCP and safety standards.
- Manage stewarding supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
- Work with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to support service delivery.
Candidate requirements
- At least three years of stewarding experience, including one year in a supervisory role; hotel experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of HACCP, hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with good organizational and communication abilities.
- Experience managing stewarding equipment, chemicals, and cleaning procedures.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays; a positive attitude and hands-on leadership approach are expected.
