Steward
is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas, utensils, tableware, and cooking equipment.
The role supports the smooth operation of the kitchen and F&B outlets by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Ensure the cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and workstations.
- Collect and remove trash and recycling materials from designated areas.
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure they function properly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; report shortages.
- Assist kitchen and service staff with setup and breakdown of buffets or banquets.
- Follow hotel safety and sanitation policies, including proper chemical handling.
- Sort and stack clean dishes; deliver them to proper storage areas.
- Handle all equipment carefully to avoid breakage or damage.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g., oven cleaning, grease traps).
